Without a doubt the best sandwich I’ve had in Italy. Got the I Guelfi and wish I had more! The people working were super nice, helpful on flavors and options, and also gave our samples of meat if you were curious.

Brilliant Panino. Fresh large and excellent value €6-8. Can't fault them! We sat out the front and many saw and decided they were also a good idea.

10/10, one of the best sandwiches we have ever had! In the same street as some of the other more famous shops with long lines but just as good (or I would argue, better). We had a sandwich and went back for another one later. Go here.

10/10 sandwiches!! I was iffy to eat here when the other 2 sandwich shops on the same street had long lines... this one didn’t have a long line. We tried a sandwich and went back for another later. Sooo good. Very nice people running the shop. You can also customize your sandwich by adding items or removing them at no extra cost. If you dont want to stand on a line for 30 minutes to order a sandwich try this place.

This has become our go to place in Florence for the most fabulous panini. We get the signature Il Guelfi panino every time. They are big, crunchy, complex, and so tasty. We split one, with a glass of wine and walk out smiling. The brother and sister team, Edi and Etta welcome patrons with warm smiles. They are fluid in English and make us feel at home. Highly recommend.

We had this for our last lunch in Florence and it was so delightful! My partner and I both ordered the Montazza and it was amazing, the owner was generous with the ingredients and so the pistachio sauce and burrata spanned across the whole sandwhich making it delicious at every bite. Next time, we would ask the owner to help us toast the sandwhich. Definitely do come and try their sandwiches!

A lovely little place. We went there because we didn’t wanted to line up at the fancy sandwich shop in the street. It was the best decision! We didn’t need to wait, had our delicious food and sat down outside the door. Would recommend this place, you get a good amount of nice, tasty food! Grazie!
